The event, hosted from January 3 to 6, brought together nearly 300 participants from five countries—Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, and host nation India.

Local favourite Suchismita Chakraborty emerged as the star of the tournament, securing gold medals in both the Girls Singles Under-19 (GS U19) and Girls Singles Under-17 (GS U17) categories for India. Her victory in the U19 finals against compatriot Pratiksha Joshi was a highlight for the home crowd.
In the boys’ section, Evon Gogoi achieved a similar feat, capturing gold in both the Boys Singles Under-19 and Under-17 divisions. Other notable winners included Lupamudra Saikia (GS U14 Gold), Abhigyan Hazarika (BS U14 Gold), and Angana Priyam Deka (GS U11 Gold).

The tournament was officially inaugurated on January 3 by Ankur Bharali, Director of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, alongside Power Minister Prasanta Phukan. The competition followed an intensive 12-day training camp that began on December 22, 2025, which hosted 105 participants.
Organised by the District Sports Office, Dibrugarh, the event was spearheaded by District Sports Officer Sami Saikia and NIS coach Amlan Bhattacharjee. The tournament saw international participation including 18 members from Sri Lanka and 11 from Nepal. Beyond the host state, Indian participants also hailed from West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and several Northeast states.
